Mark founded OAKS Advisory Group in 2024 to help other technology CEOs make an impact on their businesses and their communities in which they work.

Why I started OAKS?
Surrounded by an incredible team, I was able to grow Intellinet by 400% in 8 years as CEO to a nationally recognized management consulting and technology services firm with over 75 regional, national, and worldwide awards for growth, impact, and culture. We were fortunate to have a successful exit to a world-class, global technology services firm (FPT Software), and as CSO of the Americas, we saw subsequent growth there of 400% in 6 years. It was an incredible experience, but I knew I wanted to do more.
Instead of starting another technology firm or taking on an executive role, I found that my passion was actually in helping tech entrepreneurs and their executive teams, who had already accomplished strong results, to envision previously unfathomed levels of non-linear growth and exponential people-first impact.
That focus on "making an impact" through a team of connected, trusted, proven leaders led to the creation of the OAKS.
I wanted to infuse these critical concepts of clarity, alignment, stewardship, and purpose into other tech companies to deliver "Value through values".

Why the Name, OAKS?
The name OAKS came from one of my favorite passages in the Bible in which, after Israel's many triumphs and tribulations as a nation, God simply said to His people that I choose to bless you. And in Isaiah 61: 1-3, He bestows those blessings on their land, such that they will be called "oaks of righteousness", a display for His splendor, not their own.

The Year of the Lord's Favor (Isaiah 61)
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of His splendor.
